Gerda says of Òran Mór, 'Favourite theatre? JINGS!! - that’s like asking “Whae’s yer favourt bairn?” I have directed 9 plays there, including one by Jackie, and two of my own - Federer Versus Murray , which toured to New York, as part of the Scottish Government’s Scotland Week celebrations, and Skeleton Wumman, which toured to the Traverse and West Yorkshire Playhouse, a scene from which I’m currently directing remotely online, for the National Theatre of Scotland’s Scenes for Survival series, co-produced with the BBC.'

Gerda says of Central Library, 'Central Library in Edinburgh, where a wonderful exhibition of 38 stunningly beautiful textile panels based on my book Quines: Poems in Tribute to Women of Scotland is currently on display in the darkened, locked-down building. The exhibition was due to run until the the end of March, but closed half way through the month, due to coronavirus lockdown. Maybe the Quines are holding ghostly conversation with one another from the display cases in the silent Central Library…'
Central Library says, 'We are so delighted that Gerda has chosen Edinburgh Central as her favourite library. It was such a shame that the exhibition QUINES: Poems in Tribute to Women of Scotland was cut short by our closure in March, because it was such a beautiful response to Gerda’s poems. So, we are really looking forward to her appearance on Makar To Makar this week.'
